Blair John Vanderpool Sinchai
May 18, 2006 – September 1, 2021
Blair Sinchai was 15 years old when he was diagnosed with osteosarcoma with metastases to the lungs. From diagnosis to the day he died, only 7 weeks went by.
Blair was a sweet, kind soul. He was a beloved son, brother, grandson, cousin, and friend. He loved reading, building legos, roller blading, and playing soccer. He played string bass in his school orchestra, and also played keyboard at School of Rock. Blair had a passion for studying history, geography, and current events. It was his dream to travel the world and he planned to one day practice diplomacy to help make positive changes in the world. Blair produced his own podcast, titled “Geo-Cast,” in which he discussed geopolitical topics across all continents.
Above all else, Blair loved his family, especially his two little brothers, Archer and Remy. He often expressed how lucky he felt to be a big brother. Blair was a bright and shining light in his family, and in this world, and will be remembered and loved always.
Cancer took Blair so quickly, he barely had a chance to fight back. In his memory, we fight for him. We fight to help find a cure for this terrible disease. We fight for other kids and families so that no one else endure this pain and sadness. Blair's spirit lives on in us, and he will continue to change the world through us.
We're joining together with Children's Cancer Research Foundation to raise funds and awareness for this osteosarcoma research. Thank you for supporting us in our journey! Together we can make a difference.
